The new section features articles, blogs and how-to guides from the cycling and tri-sports retailer, as well as independent sports news.
Initially, users will be kept up to date with news on Wiggle events and the Wiggle High5 women’s professional cycle team, as well as product information from the likes of Gore, Garmin and adidas.
Wiggle says the service will be expanded to include information from sports partners and key cycle and trisports brands.
Kate Walder, customer marketing manager at Wiggle, says: “We asked our customers what they wanted most from a retail app and a news feed was one of the top things highlighted.
“We are continually looking to improve the app and customer feedback is critical.
“Their ongoing insights enable us to provide innovative and useful content.
“This, along with other features, will drive engagement, brand loyalty and a positive customer experience.”
Currently, the news section is only available in the UK, but plans are in place to extend the service to other Wiggle sales territories throughout the world.
The app is available on iOS and Android.
