Wilson Sporting Goods Co has launched Pro Staff v14, the racket with more legacy from the brand. The new version provides more precision and keeps the Pro Staff feeling when hitting the ball.
The new Pro Staff v14 features the innovation Paradigm Bending that allows the racket to bend in a way that provides more precision and feel by strategically placing carbon fibre within the frame. This year there’s also available the Pro Staff X model, a racquet with a bigger head, a bigger sweet spot and more playability for players who want to still have that Pro Staff feeling but need a more forgiving racquet.
All the version 14 models’ feature a renewed design that abandons the characteristic black colour of the latest versions, for a ground-breaking and very elegant metallic bronze colour. “The new design of the Pro Staff is beautiful and gives me the confidence I need to step on the court and play my best tennis,” said Ons Jabeur, current No. 3 in the WTA and a member of Wilson’s Advisory Staff.
“The Pro Staff franchise is linked to so many incredible moments in tennis and we expect the new v14 to continue that legacy,” said Jason Collins, General Manager of Wilson Racquet Sports. “While top players in the world will continue to evolve their games with the traditional 97” Pro Staff, we are incredibly excited to bring the new Pro Staff X to market which features the same classic precision, but provides a little more help through a larger head size.”
Since 1983 Pro Staff has been the racquet chosen by tennis legends such as Chris Evert, Stefan Edberg, Jim Courier, Steffi Graf, Pete Sampras, Juan Martin del Potro or Roger Federer, among others, making it the winning racket of more Grand Slams, a total of 117. It is currently the racket chosen by Ons Jabeur (#3 WTA), Roberto Bautista (#26 ATP) or Grigor Dimitrov (#29 ATP), among others.
The Pro Staff v14 racket is available now at Wilson.com and specialty stores.
Note: Pros often customize the racket they use. Racket specifications on endorsed consumer models may vary from the models used by Pros for match-play.
