The winners of the annual Youth Sport Trust Business Awards were announced on February 7 at the prestigious Weston Park .
With an audience of businesses from across sport and education present, Baroness Sue Campbell CBE presented and handed out the awards to the deserving winners.
With a high quality and quantity of entries, the judges, who are all respected educational or industry professionals, worked tirelessly to shortlist the entries and then chose the eventual winners.
Due to a tie breaking finish, there ended up being four winning businesses and one highly commended. Those recognised include:
• PGL Travel LTD. For its ongoing, proactive support towards helping young people be the best they can through PE and sport.
• Q4 Sports. For its innovative development of Digilog, which combines ICT with learning and sport.
• Kangoo Jumps. For its ongoing development of innovative programmes that inspire, engage and support a variety of audiences.
• Young i2i. For its positive impact on young people through bespoke training.
Finally, Schoolchildren for Children was highly commended for its selfless dedication as a charity.
The programme combines getting young people active with financial aid for deprived countries, particularly in Gambia, as well as for the school in the UK.
