Two of the most influential figures in global sport, National Basketball Association commissioner David Stern and deputy commissioner Adam Silver, will take to the stage on January 16 for the first Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club of 2014.
After a 30-year career leading the NBA as it evolved into a model for professional sports in terms of league operations, social responsibility, global marketing and digital technology, Stern soon will pass the ball to his successor, Silver, who has been instrumental in many of the league’s successes since joining the NBA in 1992.
Hosted by BT Sport at The BT Centre, this will be a rare opportunity to see both Stern and Silver together on UK soil and will provide an intriguing insight into how the NBA has grown to become one of the most respected sports leagues in the world, while also looking at what the future holds for the league.
Throughout 2014 the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club will continue to pair high profile speakers with high quality audiences to provide the UK sports market’s number one networking opportunity.
Paul Nolan, managing director of Nolan Partners, says: “We are thrilled to take our partnership with the Sport Industry Group into a fourth year as we bring together key figures from across the world of the sports business at the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club.
“The international nature of our business is demonstrated perfectly by the NBA, which is bringing both top quality sport and top quality business practice to London, and we look forward to what will be an insight filled interview with David and Adam.”
