The Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce the extension and expansion of Kantar Media’s partnership with the BT Sport Industry Awards, the flagship celebration of commercial achievement in British sport.
Kantar Media will remain the Official Research Partner of the industry’s most prestigious annual event and will also sponsor the Best Sponsorship of a Sport Team or Individual category, which will see adidas, British Airways, BSkyB, Budweiser and O2 battle it out for one of the most coveted awards of the evening.
Kantar Media has already played a vital role shaping this year’s BT Sport Industry Award ceremony, having conducted an in depth survey across the UK sport industry assessing all aspects of the BT Sport Industry Awards process, content and format.
The company also provided advice to entrants to ensure the effective use of research in BT Sport Industry Awards entries, ensuring a dramatic increase in the quality of research presented to the judging panel.
Nick Keller, chairman of the Sport Industry Group, says: “Kantar Media’s partnership with the BT Sport Industry Awards has been more important and more involved than ever this year.
“By popular demand through their research, we have added some exciting new categories, made some genuine changes to our process and we look forward to surprising everyone with some exciting new elements on the night itself.”
Richard Brinkman, global head of sport at Kantar Media, adds: “We are proud to be working in some phenomenally exciting markets on a global scale but, every year, some of the most innovative and impressive work we see comes out of London – with the business results to match.
“We look forward to seeing the best of that work rewarded on May 2.”
The BT Sport Industry Awards ceremony – to be held at Battersea Evolution in London on May 2 – will once again be a sell-out event, bringing together 1,750 key influential figures from across the world of sport.
2013’s winners will be selected from an unparalleled field of entries following a rigorous judging process fully recorded and overseen by Deloitte, the independent scrutineer of the Sport Industry Awards and, along with Barclays and Eurosport, Official Partners of the event.
