Running Industry Alliance launches industry podcast in collaboration with supersonic

Running Industry Alliance (RIA) has announced the launch of its collaborative podcast “Running Industry Alliance Podcast in association with supersonic”.

Working collaboratively, the podcast previously known as Running Industry Podcast hosted and produced by Matt Ward, will now be the Running Industry Alliance Podcast in association with supersonic. A merger that creates a strong collaborative message for the industry and sees the continuation of the leading industry podcast with a new series.

The first collab series will encompass up to 12 episodes, each featuring “5 minutes with” four guests in each episode as well as industry information, experts, news, analysis and insights.

Matt Ward will continue to host and produce the podcast, and will be joined by Rebecca (Becs) Richardson and Jonathan Midwood from Running Industry Alliance. The first episode is due to be recorded in July 2022 with the hosts rotating on episodes to speak to new guests and experts.

The podcast will focus on meaningful running industry content, with listeners benefiting from useful information and action points that can help them propel their own profiles or businesses forward and make a real difference by sharing peer to peer knowledge whilst showcasing the industry.

Co-Leads Rebecca and Jonathan commented: “We are excited about this collaboration with Matt and supersonic, and we can’t wait to record the first episode of the Running Industry Alliance Podcast in July.

“Matt has been speaking to many key figures and leaders from the global running landscape over the last few years, and we are looking forward to bringing some new angles to the merger and rebranded Running Industry Alliance Podcast. Matt has a vast and varied background in the running industry, and it will be exciting to see what we can produce together for the benefit of the members, partners, listeners and followers of Running Industry Alliance – watch this space!”

Matt from supersonic added: “Collaborating with the Running Industry Alliance seems a very natural thing for me to do with the Running Industry Podcast. From the outset I wanted to reach out, reflect and publicise all that was great in the running industry; the brands that exist, those that work in it, and those on the peripheries that inspire.

“When Becs and Jonathan approached me to work together to produce the Running Industry Alliance Podcast I didn’t need to think about it, it felt the perfect next step. They both have decades of industry experience and will definitely be able to bring in some great brands, guests and people for us to engage with, from across the global running industry landscape. We’ll be producing the podcast with my production company supersonic and I really am excited to see what we can do together, as I am sure we’ll grow the audience, delve-in to the great things that happen in the industry and share some great stories along the way.”
