Running Industry Alliance welcomes “and social” as Alliance Partner

Running Industry Alliance (RIA) has announced “and social” as Alliance Partner and as one of the education partners that are part of the RIA Education Hub.

And social, which was born after spending many lonely hours on the road, designs authentic events that brings together industries to network, educate, experience, diversify and socialise while doing what they love. The founders believe that the best learning is a combination of three factors – doing, hearing, and seeing – and that events like theirs not only fulfil needs but also lead to better results in the working environment.

The aims of and social events are to enable attendants to network and create valuable long-term relationships, to offer the best knowledge through a range of theoretical and practical sessions across a wide range of topics, and to create enjoyable social spaces where no detail is too small.

The first and social event is “Outdoor and Social”, a free outdoor trade event for retailers and retail staff taking place from 12th to 14th March 2024 in Edale, Peak District, Derbyshire.

And social will have a round table at The Running Conference on Monday 11th December where RIA Members can find out more and chat to the founder.

Co-Leads Rebecca Richardson and Jonathan Midwood from RIA said: “We are excited to welcome and social as Alliance Partner and to be able to offer and social events to RIA Members who want to develop specific skills in a social and enjoyable environment. And social will be part of the RIA Education Hub which will be live on the RIA website shortly and which will be a useful resource for industry-related learnings. We are looking forward to working with and social and to welcoming them to The Running Conference in December.”

Keith Marshall of and social commented: “and social isn’t just the company name, it is our mantra. We believe in meaningful, long-lasting relationships, in being together and being stronger as a community – which is why we emphasise the social aspect and where the name has come from. At our events you get to learn where you will enjoy it the most, gaining hands on experience whilst creating valuable new relationships. We are looking forward to working with RIA and to chatting to everyone at The Running Conference.”
