Total Communication offers free support for deaf runners attending the National Running Show South
The National Running Show South team is proud to announce that they will be working with Total Communication throughout the show weekend (17-18 July) at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre to support deaf runners at the show. The TC team will be providing interpreters live on stage and offering assistance from their exhibition stand to make sure that the content and retail experience at the show is inclusive and accessible for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors.
Speakers at the much-anticipated event include Olympians including Dame Kelly Holmes, Roger Black and Iwan Thomas, as well as a number of other celebrity runners such as Nell McAndrew, Vassos Alexander and Suzanne Shaw and running experts Danny Bent, Anna Harding, Julie Creffield and Emma Kirk-Odunubi.
Event Director Nathalie Davies said “We’ve always strived to make the National Running Show inclusive to all runners, no matter how far or fast you go. Over the past year, it has been magnified just how important running has been to both mental and physical health for so many people in the UK. We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with the team at Total Communication to offer additional support at the show for runners who are deaf or have hearing difficulties. We just can’t wait to bring this amazing community together again”.
Free tickets are also available from the Total Communication team for all visitors who need assistance at the show and their accompanying friends/families. Contact the Total Communication team or firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
