Bedale School in Hampshire has just introduced a striking new image to run across all sports, and used GFORCE to ensure its kit is befitting of the esteemed school.
Pupils now have a variety of garments, including hoodies, polo shirts, track pants, shorts and skorts, all designed to fit a contemporary new look developed specifically for the school’s sports department.
The garments are currently being phased in at the senior school, with plans to introduce the new kit to the junior school over the next 12 months.
Alan Wright, head of boys’ sports at Bedale School, explains what motivated this change in image: “Historically Bedale has played in traditional sporting wear, but the school felt strongly that it was time to embrace performance sportswear and GFORCE was just what we were looking for.
“Although sportswear cannot affect innate ability, it can change perception and improve the confidence in the wearer. These are important criteria in terms of achieving sporting success.”
Bedale’s sports department decided to bring in a new colour palette specifically for the sports kit.
In a departure from the school colour of maroon, the kit used pale and navy blue to create a distinctive, fresher look for pupils, who wear the new hoodies and tracksuits en route to fixtures and a combination of the polo shirts, skorts and shorts for all other sports.
The school already has team shirts for their first teams, but are able to pair these up with the new GFORCE garments without compromising the school’s identity.
All garments, except track pants, have been enhanced with the addition of the school emblem.
