2010 MVP Bruce Lauder lost a third of the season last year with an ankle injury, so hearts where in mouths when he rolled on it again during his Nottingham Hoods basketball team match against Manchester Magic in the National Shield recently.
However, a quick time-out and a tightening of the laces on his new Ektio shoes meant Lauder was able to finish the game.
A week later he was back on court against Birmingham Lions, and he was back to his hustling best.

Despite landing on an opponent’s foot, the in-built support ensured that any damage to Lauder’s ankle was kept to a minimum.
