Maru Swimwear has unveiled a host of fresh new designs for its spring/summer 2009 collection. The new range will be available in over 400 UK sports shops, as well as a number of online retailers and health clubs, from January 1, 2009.
Brand-new designs for active swimmers include a sleek, legged swimsuit for women and a new and improved range of swimsuits manufactured ?in long-life, chlorine resistant fabric, Pacer. For the leisure swimmer Maru has introduced a stylish new range of tankinis and swimsuits in fuchsia, orange and denim, as well as a selection of suits with high backs and extra-low legs for the more mature woman. New to the men’s range are training shorts in vibrant patterns, which are guaranteed to turn heads by the pool or on the beach, and a great selection of ?new technical jammers and leisure board shorts. Sparkly costumes and fun patterns are the order of the day for girls (including a Pacer swimsuit for the first time), while new boy’s Pacer shorts with bright graphic inset panels have also been introduced into the range.
Swim equipment now accounts for one third of Maru’s turnover and new items include a sports goggle for adults and children and a great new diving ?game for kids called Flashing Gems and Flashing Coins – which is exclusive to Maru.
Says Roger Allen, director at Maru Swimwear: “We have a very strong collection for spring/summer 2009 which has something to suit all age groups – from the active to the leisure swimmer. Maru is renowned for its ability to combine style and performance and this new range will not disappoint. Striking colours, vibrant graphic prints and stylish designs developed to meet rigorous standards – these are the qualities which make Maru stand head and shoulders above its competitors.”
