Reusch goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain

Reusch goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain is currently playing for Bristol Academy in the FA Women’s Super League.

The England international played for Bristol Academy before returning to Chelsea Ladies, one of her former clubs, in 2007.

She then moved to Canada to gain further experience with the Vancouver Whitecaps, before returning to Bristol in 2010 for the commencement of the FA WSL.

In her first season she helped Bristol reach the Women’s FA Cup Final and was named in the WSL team of the season.

In April 2012 she was appointed one of eight digital media ambassadors – one from each team – who wear their Twitter account names on their shirt sleeves, and more recently her gloves, to raise the profile of the WSL.

In her international career, Chamberlain progressed through the youth ranks with England before making her senior debut against the Netherlands in September 2004.

She won her second cap in a record 13–0 win against Hungary and her third against Sweden in Cyprus. She has a current total of 23 caps.

Chamberlain was named in England’s squad for the 2007 World Cup.

In May 2009 she was one of the first 17 female players to be given a central contract by The Football Association.
