Tell us about the company
Slims Pro-Sportswear is a British designed men and women’s sports luxe brand featuring technical fabrics alongside sports casual staples and casual, British designed footwear. With the ideal mix of sports and fashion at its core, Slims Pro-Sportswear offers a unique and complete proposition in this fast growing sector.

Style forward people with an active lifestyle. We create gear you can perform in, but also live in.
Key features and benefits?
At Slims, we believe in quality product and design. Our clothing and sportswear are designed to serve true athletes, yet have the comfort and design to be incorporated into the wardrobe of the person who fits sport into their daily routine. From technical quick drying fabrics and wind and waterproof materials, to the comfiest slub jersey tops and finest cotton tees, the offer blends sports and lifestyle perfectly.
How do you promote it?
We are creating a buzz about Slims Pro-Sportswear already. We had a pop-up shop in east London’s Brick Lane between January 9-16 and will also be exhibiting at Pure London on February 14-16 and the Be:FIT London event on April 29-May 1, so we have an exciting year ahead. All these events help our PR and social media teams to support us and our stockists.
Do you have any brand ambassadors?
We have our local sporting heroes – sports professionals who make a difference in their sports. They wear and give feedback on our products, as well as doing a great job of spreading the word. As we get to know more and more people in the sports industry, we will look to have more brand ambassadors, as it’s a great way to get active feedback.
What’s the most effective way a retailer can market the brand?
We’re working on a number of activities to raise awareness of the brand, but the product is starting to speak for itself. Talking to retailers and from our own experience, the Slims Pro-Sportswear target customer is easily reached by being active on social media. Getting involved in local sporting and charity events is also a great way to engage with the right demographic.
What support do you offer retailers stocking the brand?
We offer a ‘drop and rail’ package, where our team fit out an area in-store with the entire Slims look. We also provide staff training where possible, as we know how well it works for staff to be knowledgeable about the brand they are selling.
How quickly do you turn orders around?
We hold stock in the UK, as well as producing forward order seasonal ranges, so stock can be sent to a retailer within two days for stock orders. We will be taking forward orders at Pure for autumn/winter 2016.
Is there a minimum order level?
There’s no minimum order as such. We like to work with the retailer to create a good representation of Slims that’s tailored to their needs and demographic.
Is the brand a member of STAG or Intersport?
Not as yet, but it’s something our team are keen to explore further.
