As part of its commitment to encourage more people to enjoy open water swimming, active swim specialist Aqua Sphere is sponsoringof SwimRutland, which takes place every Summer on Rutland Water, one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful man-made lakes.
Now in its fourth year, SwimRutland has grown year on year into a highly regarded outdoor event and the organizers have been commended for their focus on the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers as well as their dedication to ensuring that people of all ages and swimming abilities take on and enjoy a new open water challenge.
Taking place on August 12, there are four distances available to suit the abilities of all swimmers – from the 500m Mini course for juniors or novices through to the 8km long distance SwimRutland course for the more confident and experienced swimmer. Wet suits are compulsory and swim floats are supplied to ensure the excellent visibility and safety of every swimmer.
