According to the brand, sales of running footwear grew 15 per cent and women’s footwear rose 18 per cent.
Tennis apparel sales were up 41 per cent and ASICS Europe enjoyed a 16 per cent growth in tennis footwear sales.
Triple digit growth was attributed to ASICS Tiger, which was relaunched earlier this year with a range of running shoes originally produced in the 1990s.
The GEL-KAYANO EVO, a shoe that was launched in 1993, has seen the brand’s highest sell through to date at premium and lifestyle sports-fashion retailers.
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Austria, Poland, Benelux and Russia all recorded double digit sales figures.
The UK, Germany and Italy all achieved single digit growth.
Sales in ASICS’ own retail stores increased by 26 per cent.
