uhlsport global revenue grew 11% in first half of 2016

The announcement follows record revenues of €66.4 million (£55 million) in 2015.

uhlsport, Kempa and Spalding enjoyed significant growth in German speaking markets (18.5 per cent in Germany), as well as double digit growth in Scandinavia, Japan, Korea and the USA.

The Kempa business expanded by 46 per cent, thanks to new handball, shoe and textile lines.

Team sport textile divisions across all three brands were also strong performers.

Dominik Solleder, managing director of uhlsport, says: “We are extremely proud of the team’s performance in Germany and internationally, which has led to double digit revenue growth.

“We were particularly pleased with Kempa’s performance, as it developed into a top brand for team sports.”

uhlsport has confirmed the outlook as positive for the second half of 2016, when it will begin distributing the Australian rugby brand BLK in France, Germany and Sweden.
