Zoggs extends Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Swimathon partnership into 2016

As official swim brand partner of the world’s biggest fundraising swim, Zoggs will help promote the event at over 600 pools throughout the UK.

Swimathon will see thousands of swimmers challenge themselves through 5k, 2.5k and 1.5k individual challenges or team 5k/1.5k challenges.

In addition, there is also the option for participants to swim a distance of their choice whilst raising funds for Sport Relief.

Since 1986, Swimathon has raised more than £42 million for charitable causes and in 2016 will be helping Sport Relief to raise cash.

Half of all the money the public raises is spent by Comic Relief in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities.

In 2015, 49 per cent of participants signed up for Swimathon after hearing about it at their local leisure centre (44 per cent in 2014).

David Annand, Zoggs’ UK marketing and PR manager, says: “Swimathon is the perfect event for us to support.

“Swimathon is all about the whole swimming community coming together to have fun and raise significant funds for Sport Relief.”
