Craghoppers is a finalist in this year’s Draper’s Sustainable Fashion Awards

Building on the success last year, winning Brand of the Year (Brands over £30m turnover) in the Draper’s Sustainable Fashion Awards, Craghoppers has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Awards for the new category – Positive Change. The only Outdoor brand in the line-up, Craghoppers faces competition from H&M, SuperDry and Zalando.

To be eligible for these Awards, Craghoppers had to illustrate how it had progressed in 2020 towards its sustainability goals, how it was working with suppliers to improve working conditions and reduce the amount of waste in the supply chain. All this during a global pandemic.

Spearheaded by Group MD Joanne Black, sustainability has been championed across the company for a few years now.
“We are delighted to be recognised this year as a contender for the Positive Change award.”

“As members of ETI, addressing the working conditions at our suppliers was always our immediate concern, making sure they were safe and clean to work in. And I am glad to say that through thorough checks the standards have remained high. We are now focusing on the implementation of management training and progression within the business – for women as well as men – whilst addressing gender bias and pay equality. And this is being monitored through our 3rd party audits.”

“I am proud of our teams both in the UK and Asia to ensuring this happens and to continue to stride forward on our sustainability journey.”
