MediaWeek is reporting that Sports Direct will launch a monthly magazine on July 27, which will be available in-store and on the newsstand, as well as being mailed to customers.
Vinny Smith, associate director for marketing at Sportsdirect.com, told MediaWeek: “We want the brand to become synonymous with great sporting stories and expert fitness advice.
“We’re engaging with customers to provide even more value by sharing our shortcuts to help them get fitter, play better and look great.”
The magazine will also include a product guide, which users can scan with a smartphone to make purchases.
Tesco talks
Sports Direct is in talks with Tesco to take space in some of its British stores, according to The Telegraph.
The Financial Times says the Mike Ashley owned retailer is also considering opening outlets next to Tesco sites or in nearby retail parks.
