Wilson partners with Femme Open to grow women’s padel in Europe

Wilson has entered an official partnership with Femme Open, Europe’s largest padel tournaments for women.

The sponsorship will include Wilson as the Official sporting goods and ball partner of all tournaments in Europe, as well as providing prizes and goodie bags, demonstrations, and exclusive Wilson takeover events. This partnership further reaffirms the brand’s commitment to invest and grow women’s padel in Europe.

“We are very excited to partner with Femme Open to further the growth of women’s padel in Europe,” said Iñaki Cabrera, Global Business Director Wilson Padel. “Our goal at Wilson is to continue promoting padel for everyone while expanding the player community and improving their sporting experience.”

Femme Open was founded in 2018 with the purpose to invite women to take time for themselves, have fun, improve their health, compete in padel and meet new friends. What started as a hobby project has now turned into a full-scale business that aims to build bridges between countries and organize tournaments all over Europe after expanding past Sweden in 2021.

The goal of the organization is to provide a competitive space that encourages networking and fun for both beginners and pro players. Femme Open has also recently expanded into organizing trips and tournaments that encourage players to cross borders and create new connections. Femme Open currently organizes tournaments in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Spain, Greece, Italy and Netherlands and is planning to expand into Germany and France.

“Our aim is for each player to leave our events filled with joy, happiness, new friends and a nice goodie bag. We are further expanding our operations, organizing more clinics to introduce new players to the sport, as well as establishing more tournament dates across Europe. We believe that our partnership with Wilson will be incredibly beneficial to our goals due to their strong relationships with experienced padel players and coaches, as well as their notable investment into the success of women’s padel.” said the owners of Femme Open, Johanna Aybar and Johanna Livijn.
