MANTIS makes first move in badminton market

MANTIS has announced an extension to its range of racquet sports and has made its first move into the badminton market this week.

The British-based brand has launched two grades of shuttlecocks and is expected to expand on the company’s product portfolio in the coming months.

Made in Britain, the M1 and M3 shuttlecocks have been developed for the performance and club/school markets respectively.

Both grades, designed and manufactured with MANTIS’ mantra of premium quality at affordable prices, are now in stock and available to retailers at a special introductory offer.

Martin Aldridge, founder and managing director of MANTIS, says: “This is an exciting move for MANTIS as a brand.

“We have had a tremendous amount of success in the tennis and squash markets in our first year and believe the time is right to continue our expansion into the badminton sector.

“We are delighted with the quality of the shuttlecocks we have produced and are looking forward to further developments in the badminton market.”

The M1 and M3 shuttles are available in white (speed 78 and 79) and yellow (speed 78).

MANTIS recently announced former British number one and US Open finalist Greg Rusedski as brand ambassador.

The brand has also been named as official racket partners to the Allam British Open, British Grand Prix and Subway Masters squash tournaments, as well as being the official ball of the Statoil Masters tennis at the Royal Albert Hall.
