Running specialist Advance Performance is sponsoring an English adventurer’s bid to cross the globe using just a kayak, bike and rowing boat.
Sarah Outen’s (pictured) planned two-year journey will start and finish at London’s Tower Bridge and cover 20,000 miles across three continents and two oceans.
She will also be involved in local school activities in Japan and visit schools while travelling across the USA and Canada.
This is not the first time that Outen has embarked on such a journey.
At just 24 she was the first woman and youngest person to row solo across the Indian Ocean, raising £30,000 for charity.
Now Outen is hoping to raise more from her latest adventure.
“It is an absolute pleasure to support such an ore inspiring individual, not only for the achievements that she has made in the record books, but also in what she has accomplished for well deserved charities,” says Samantha Hale, managing director of Advance Performance.
“We are very proud to be part of her journeys and will support her all the way in her new challenge.”
Outen starts her journey on April 1.
