Aqua Sphere triathlon news

Swim kit specialist Aqua Sphere again supported the Aqua Sphere Army Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships in May, which were held at Cotswold Water Park. With 141 competitors of all abilities taking part, from novices to world/European champions, the humid and wet conditions made the race hard fought and competitive for the elite and army squad competitors and provided challenging conditions for first-timers and novices. Aqua Sphere donated a number of its proven Kaiman goggles and Seal masks to the winners, as well as giving high-quality drawstring swim bags to all competitors. The male winner, Staff Sergeant Mark Livesey, completed the race in one hour, one minute, and the female winner, Captain Caroline Graham-Brown, completed in one hour, six minutes.

The race is open to all army personnel and has been run for 13 years at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, The Army Training Regiment Bassingborne and now The Cotswold Water Park at South Cerney. The event comprises a 750m lake swim, followed by a 21.5km road cycle and finished off with a 5km run around the lake. The race is the most popular event of the season for army triathletes and is probably the biggest club event in the country.
