ASICS to sponsor Human Race off-road series

Human Race has confirmed ASICS as title sponsor of its off-road race series for the next 12 months.

Comprising four off-road duathlon and trail running races, The ASICS Off Road Race Series is staged in four locations across the south east, with each presenting its own spectacular challenge.

Taking place throughout the winter months, the series is targeted at all levels of athletes who want to try something different or keep fitness levels up.

The series, which supports The Prostate Cancer Charity, starts this month with WildMan taking place at Hankley Common near Guildford.

In December it’s off to Camberley for MudMan, followed by Frimley, Surrey for IceMan in January 2011.

The ASICS Off Road Race Series concludes at Pippingford Park, East Sussex with TuffMan in February.

Each venue will host both a mountain bike duathlon and trail run, and the events can be tackled individually or as part of a two-three person relay team.

“We are very excited to be involved in the Human Race Off Road Series, it’s a great series of events that give people the chance to do something they normally wouldn’t,” says Eoin Treacy, UK marketing manager of ASICS.

“ASICS understands there are many different types of runner out there, and trail running is becoming evermore popular. We want to make sure these runners are getting the best from their footwear on any terrain.”

ASICS will be showcasing its new off-road trainer at each event.
