British sportswear brand Castore has unveiled its first cutting-edge Red Roses England Rugby playing kit collection for the 2025/26 season, ushering in a new era as Official Technical Partner to England Rugby, marking a transformative moment for the Red Roses defined by innovation and resilience.
The Red Roses partnership marks a bold new generation for England Rugby, blending performance-driven technology with a deep respect for heritage and identity. The creation of the new kits was guided by Castore’s philosophy of ‘Better Never Stops’, aligning with England Rugby to create the new philosophy of ‘This Energy Never Stops’.
The home kit, debuting next month, features a symbolic design inspired by the idea of ‘smashing the glass ceiling’. Drawing on the concept of blooming through broken glass the design celebrates strength and perseverance in women’s sport. The iconic Red Rose has been retraced to form geometric, glass-like shards, symbolising strength emerging from shattered limits, a visual representation of the players who rise through adversity to wear the kit with pride on the pitch.
Castore Co Founder, Tom Beahon said: “The smashing through broken glass concept in the Red Roses kit reflects strength and resilience, qualities that define the players on and off the field. At Castore, we are committed to obsessing over every edge, ensuring that every stitch, fabric, and feature contributes to excellence.”
Each piece of the Home and Alternate sets has been meticulously engineered to support players through every tackle, pass, and sprint. Necklines have been developed and tested to withstand up to 1,200 Newtons of force to ensure they meet the demands of the international game. Tailored specifically for the female athlete, the kit includes strategically placed gripper detail where women naturally carry the ball to facilitate possession. Shorts feature velvet flocking on the back panel to keep hands dry and improve precision, while an elastic waistband and internal drawcord provide a secure fit. The full Brilliant White look is completed by cushioned socks offering heel and footbed support.
The new Home Kit collection featuring O2 branding will be available in pro and pro replica as well as the classic long-sleeved silhouette, each showcasing Castore’s dedication to engineering and detail. This collection builds on the high-performance innovation already delivered in rugby, as the technical partner to Harlequins, Saracens and Bath.
Fans can look forward to seeing the new kits in action on 2nd August 2025 and shop the collection from 21st July via www.englandrugbystore.com, Castore retail outlets, and selected stores.
