Francesca Halsall (pictured), the 100m freestyle world silver medallist and 4x100m medley relay European champion, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Arena through to the 2012 Olympic Games.
“We are very proud to announce the entry of Francesca Halsall into our Elite Team,” said Alessandro Carpignano, Arena’s general manager of international business.
“Last year Francesca showed a significant athletic growth, along with a great consistency in results. In Rome Francesca swam a few races with Arena X-Glide and there she started knowing and getting comfortable with our products, a key prerequisite to start this technical and sponsorship cooperation together.
“We are sure that Francesca will be an excellent ambassador and testimonial for Arena in the UK, and with this purpose in mind she will be involved in advertising campaigns and communication activities with a view to the next Olympic Games in London 2012.”
