JD Sports Fashion is rumoured to be planning a takeover of Go Outdoors.
It has been reported that JD Sports is one of a number of bidders that are interested in offers for Go Outdoors, which has been put up for sale.
It was, however, not clear whether JD Sports had tabled a formal bid.
An auction run by KPMG is expected to reach a conclusion by the end of the year.
When approached regarding the rumours JD sports declined to comment.
