Breast Cancer Now is calling on law firms and chambers to sign up for Tour De Law 2024 and go head-to-head in its annual static bike challenge to raise funds for world class research and support.
Now in its 12th year, Tour de Law is the legal sector’s only charity cycle race and an opportunity for legal professionals to get pedalling and clock up as many kilometres as they can in the office – while raising money for a brilliant cause. Since its inception in 2012, Tour de Law has raised over £1.1 million for Breast Cancer Now. But with over 55,000 people being diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK, the legal sector’s support has never been more needed.
Taking place from 8am on Wednesday 9 October until 4.30pm on Thursday 10 October 2024, participating firms and chambers will have up to 100 slots of 15 minutes each to sweat it out and cycle as many kilometres as they can. Breast Cancer Now will provide each office with two static bikes and everything needed for fundraising.
Participants can book more than one slot each, encouraging competition between colleagues as well as against rival participants. The team with the highest combined distance and fundraising totals will be crowned the Tour de Law winners and become custodians of the prized Tour de Law trophy.
Most importantly, every pound raised from the challenge will help Breast Cancer Now to drive forward its world-class research and continue providing life-changing support, so they can achieve their vision that by 2050 everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well.
