Andy Ronnie (pictured) assumes the role with immediate effect.
Ronnie previously headed up both Ellesse and Diadora.
He says: “I’m extremely excited about joining Kooga, who are recognised as one of the leading brands in the world of rugby.
“Kooga has a great heritage for us to build on and develop.
“We’re going to go back to basics and will concentrate on our strengths and core business, plus develop the teamwear side with key retailers.
“We also intend to work closely with our professional clubs and continue to look for any new partnerships in both union and league.”
Ronnie will continue in his role as managing director of football apparel licensing business UK Source Lab.
