The North Face to donate £1 for every purchase made over Black Friday weekend

The North Face have expanded their charitable Black Friday initiative to include Germany, Italy and the UK, donating £1 to the Explore Fund for purchase made across the weekend.

The initiative is designed to support exploration through The North Face Explore Fund to empower future explorers and protect our wild places. The Explore Fund is designed to create greater access, diversity and equality in the outdoors, helping young people across Europe realise their potential through exploration.

Earlier this year The North Face announced a formal partnership with EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Alliance) and have funded projects across Europe, including a reforestation project in Hardknott Forrest, UK, improving alpine biodiversity in the Berchtesgadener Land Biosphere Region, Germany and fighting single use plastic to protect the turtle nesting ecosystem in southern Calabria, Italy.

The monies raised over the weekend will support The North Face’s commitment to empowering communities and making the world around us better for all.

Amanda Calder-McLaren, Brand Comms Director EMEA, said: “At The North Face, we want to get as many people exploring as possible. The Explore Fund helps us introduce many young people to the outdoors, as well as supporting our many conservation efforts to protect our beloved wild places. We are proud to be able to use our scale for good.”
