Tickets for the SWATCH FIVB Junior (Under 21) World Championships in Brighton are now on sale. The event, taking place in September, is the first beach volleyball world championships ever to be held in Britain.
Beach volleyball is one of the most colourful Olympic sports and will come to Brighton, one of Britain’s most vibrant cities, from September 3-7. The event will be hosted at Nivea Sun Yellowave, a purpose-built beach volleyball facility on Madeira Drive along Brighton seafront. The venue will see additional seating and extra sand brought in specifically to host the world championships, boosting the capacity to 2,000 seats per day.
Male and female teams from Brazil, Australia, the USA and Europe are expected to compete and create a carnival atmosphere and athletes will see the event as an important step towards success in 2012. Britain is expected to confirm teams following trials at the end of June.
