ASICS GT-2160 wins Runner’s World 2011 International Editor’s Choice award

The ASICS GT-2160 (pictured) has won the Runner’s World 2011 International Editor’s Choice award.

The shoe was selected by a panel of Runner’s World editors from the 15 countries in which the magazine is published, who highlighted the GT-2160’s ‘rock steady stability features, foot hugging fit and plush cushioning’ as the primary reasons for bestowing the award.

“ASICS is proud to receive this award from one of the most respected sources of information in the running market,” says Alistair Cameron, president and CEO of ASICS Europe.

“This is the second time that the GT-2100 series has won the award and is the best selling performance running shoe in the world for a reason.

“This award cements ASICS’ position as the runner’s choice.”

ASICS also received a ‘Best Buy’ award for the GEL-1170.

According to Runner’s World: ‘This standout trainer delivers a terrific combination of value and comfort.’

The Runner’s World Shoe lab test and wear testers said: “It’s a well balanced shoe – sufficiently soft for heel and mid-foot strikers, but not mushy – and a great choice for long training runs and marathons.”
