Hi-Tec to move global headquarters to Amsterdam in new year

Hi-Tec is moving its global headquarters from Southend to Amsterdam in the new year.

While product development, design, marketing and finance will operate out of Holland in 2011, Hi-Tec’s Essex office will continue to house the brand’s UK subsidiary, including warehousing, sales, marketing, accounts and credit control.

“Hi-Tec is primed for growth and Amsterdam is the hub for some of the best talent in our industry, and is also an extremely creative environment for the entire team to benefit from,” says Ed van Wezel, Hi-Tec’s general manager.

“We are extremely proud of our British roots though, and will continue to run and invest in our successful UK subsidiary.”

In other news, Martin Binnendijk, formally Hi-Tec’s European chief executive, has become the group’s chief finance officer.

In addition, Ian Cameron, Hi-Tec’s UK sales director, will become UK managing director in January.

Hi-Tec USA has relocated to Portland, Oregon under CEO Bill Berta.
