As part of the Olympic bid, the UK pledged to create a lasting legacy that will inspire, motivate and engage young people nationally and internationally.
The Youth Sport Trust, which works nationally to create lifelong opportunities for young people from PE and sport, is looking to offer select businesses that can help achieve this mission places within the prestigious Business Honours Club from July 1, 2012.
The Business Honours Club is renowned for its credibility and innovative solutions from the associated businesses, making it attractive to schools and sport.

Jo Simpson, director at Youth Sport Trust, says: “Sport has the power to change lives. Nationally we champion various targeted programmes including the Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week, which engages over four million young people in a single week.
“Our work is not just focused on participating, it also includes a remit around learning through PE that has proven to have substantial benefits for young people.
“We are always looking at more ways in which we can further benefit young people through targeted intervention and tailored programmes that can have a national impact.
“Businesses have in the past, and will in the future, be key to achieving this aspiration.”
Acceptance into the Business Honours Club is not automatic, which makes all businesses engaged within it so credible for the core market sectors.
With membership fees starting as low as £905 per annum, it is seen by the industry as a cost-effective solution that adds long-term benefit through understanding and association with the Youth Sport Trust and its work.

Applications are considered between August and November annually and January through to April, with membership start dates being January and July.
