Sport Industry Group Announces Partnership With Loughborough University, London
Thursday 30th April 2015, London: Sport Industry Group has announced a new partnership with the Institute for Sport Business, Loughborough University, London, which will see them become the official partner of Cutting Edge Sport.
The university, which is based on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will exclusively offer postgraduate study, will work with Sport Industry Group to further develop Cutting Edge Sport, with a particular focus on sportindustry.biz/cutting-edge-sport. Loughborough University, London will supply regular content to the newest addition to the Sport Industry Group-owned website which highlights sport in progressive thought, invention and digital engagement.
The partnership will also see the Institute for Sport Business, Loughborough University, London sponsor the Cutting Edge Sport Award at this year’s BT Sport Industry Awards, which will be held in London on 30th April 2015.
New to 2015, the Cutting Edge Sport Award recognises work from across the industry that demonstrates how a new idea, innovation or creative use of technology has made a measurable impact against a campaign or brand’s objectives. Those competing for the coveted trophy on 30th include: CelticLIVE for their match day app; Jockey Club Services; O2 Presents Wear the Rose; SenseCore; Sportradar Security Services and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and UNICEF.

Sport Industry Group will also work with Loughborough University, London on new initiatives that will expand the existing Sport Industry Group portfolio and benefit the sector, with more information to follow over the coming months.
The judging process for the BT Sport Industry Awards involved 83 key industry figures and 36 hours of intensive judging, fully overseen by Deloitte, the Independent Scrutineers of the BT Sport Industry Awards.
The BT Sport Industry Awards will bring together the biggest and best names within the industry, from leading sport teams, agencies, governing bodies and more, who will sit alongside sporting legends past and present for the industry’s flagship event.
BT is the official headline partner of the BT Sport Industry Awards. Official partners include Barclays, Deloitte and Eurosport.
