F45 strengthens its foothold across Europe as it hits 106 studios

Global fitness franchisor, F45 Training Group, continues to dominate the European fitness market by celebrating 106 studios across the continent.

As data shows that the number of gym memberships in Europe has increased by roughly 7 million during 2022 and shown a strong recovery since the pandemic, this growth will continue as F45 look to replicate the success they have had in the UK with further expansion in key European markets such as Spain and France.

Mike Dean, Vice President of F45 Sales in Europe comments: “Our presence in the European market has grown at a rapid pace since the first F45 studio opening in the UK in 2017. Despite the impact of the pandemic, which inevitably slowed many industries down, we are proud to have successful studios operating across Europe, including Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Finland and Czech Republic, reinforcing our position as a global fitness provider. Our goal is to have F45 studios in all corners of Europe, and with the growth we have seen before and after the pandemic, we are confident that we will make this happen.”

“We opened our studio in Malta in June 2022 and have been delighted with the response we have had so far. Although many industries were affected drastically by the pandemic, we were pleased to see so many people willing and able to visit the studio and sign-up to long-term memberships,” said Kellie Carmont, Owner of F45 Sliema, the first studio in Malta. “Opening the first studio in Malta was a fantastic achievement for us and the response from the local community here has been extremely positive. We are excited to be a part of the growing F45 community in Europe.”

Now operating in 19 countries across Europe, F45 was born in Australia in 2014 and has since taken the world by storm. Designed by Sport Scientists and Elite Athletes, F45’s unique, team-based, high-intensity interval training consists of 45-minute workouts which feature over 3,500 fun, functional and efficient exercises and an extensive range of workout programmes. The global success of F45 as a franchise network has encouraged many athletes, personal trainers and entrepreneurs to become part of this innovative fitness movement due to its relatively low start up and running costs, turn-key set up and generous return on investment.

With further European openings scheduled for later this year, including sites in Paris and Marbella, the phenomenal growth of the F45 studio portfolio continues to dominate the UK and European fitness industry.
