Samurai and BrandCo team up for growth

A new subsidiary of BrandCo Holdings has won a five-year licensing agreement to design, source and sell Sumurai sportswear and accessories to the retail trade in the UK, Ireland and France.

“We are delighted that Samurai have selected BrandCo Sportswear to develop their retail-led brand offering,” says Martin Aynsley, managing director of BrandCo Holdings.

“We see the Samurai brand as being ideally placed to capitalise on its strong performance heritage in developing highly commercial, coordinated sportswear ranges to be sold at retail to individual consumers.

“Our expertise in developing retail led licensed programmes will enable us to focus on maximising Samurai sales at retail over the next five years.”

Terry Sands, managing director of Sumurai International Sportswear, adds: “We have been aware of BrandCo Holdings for some time and have always been impressed by their professionalism in developing ranges and their interpretation of briefs.

“We are really excited by what BrandCo Holdings can add by way of their expertise in designing and implementing retail ranges, and help in taking our retail offering to the next level, establishing Samurai Sportswear as a consumer brand across Europe and other parts of the world.”

The rugby brand confirmed that its multisport teamwear will continue to be designed, sold and distributed by Samurai International Sportswear.
