ASICS shed further light on the fascinating scientific research and development invested in its new ranges before an audience of key retailers at its Future of Footwear event, held at the new Wembley Stadium last week.
The informative and interactive session was hosted by Simon Bartold (pictured), Asics’ International Research Consultant and a leading biomechanic and podiatrist, and covered major advancements made by the company in the development of its footwear, specifically the new GEL-Kinsei 2; gender-specific women’s running shoes; health walking shoes, including the GEL-Cardio, which has been designed for people suffering from diabetes; and the new range of ASICS football boots, which include new injury prevention technologies.
Says ASICS’ UK Marketing Manager, Andrew Freeman: “The seminar enabled ASICS to engage our key retailers on a higher level, providing greater insight into the development of our range and demonstrating our passion for innovation and performance.
“Via this education process, the retailer is now better equipped to transfer their knowledge to the consumer, providing expert customer service and increasing sales opportunities.”
