UKRunChat, the facilitator of chat about all things running, has announced a series of new partners for 2019. The online running community has agreed 12-month partnerships with a number of running-related brands and companies in order to increase its offering and provide additional benefits to its many thousands of members.
Coming on board as Charity Partner is Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the largest and most respected British charities providing specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support is already well-loved within the running community, and it is hoped that the charity’s partnership with UKRunChat will help to raise further awareness and support for this excellent cause.
UKRunChat is certainly one of the most interactive and engaged communities on social media, with a reach averaging between 12-15 million every 48 hours on Twitter and up to 20,000 unique handles across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter every month. The engagement stats are some of the highest in the UK, enabling a partner such as Macmillan Cancer Support to reach out to new audiences and encourage people to get involved whilst achieving their own personal running goals.
UKRunChat new partners for 2019 include Fitness Rewards, 2pure, Runr, CS Physio and Sports Injury Fix.
Life insurance provider Fitness Rewards is an ideal partner for UKRunChat as it rewards members for being healthy. Members earn points for being active and tracking their activity – be it a workout, parkrun or daily steps – and these points then unlock rewards ranging from reduced gym fees through to discounted tech and running footwear.
Distribution business 2pure adds value to brands in the active lifestyle market in order to provide retailers and consumers with the very best products for their needs. With key running brands including Topo Athletic, Compressport, Nathan, Body Glide, FlipBelt, Fitletic, Feetures, Mulebar and more, the UKRunChat community will be able to discover the latest apparel, accessories, nutrition and hydration products thanks to the 2pure partnership.
Runr needs little introduction, its name representing a fitness and lifestyle brand for people passionate about running. The brand is a big believer that running is all about the community and encourages runners to engage with each other in everyday life, making it a very natural partner for UKRunChat.
With UKRunChat offering everything from race and product recommendations to real advice and tips, CS Physio is an excellent healthcare partner for the community. The team offers the most up-to-date and effective methods of physiotherapy and runners will be able to draw on their expertise on a whole manner of running-related injuries and issues.
Sports Injury Fix provides not only physiotherapy but a whole range of therapies and treatments for a variety of sporting injuries. Runners can use the website to find their best local specialist through an extensive choice of physios, sports therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, sports massage therapists, sports rehab specialists, podiatrists and more.
Together, these new partners add a valuable new support to #UKRunChat. They will no doubt feature in the community’s much-loved ‘Fastest Hour of the Week’, the twice-weekly chat hour on all things running, and become part of the general conversation taking place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no other platform quite like UKRunChat, which sees beginner runners through to experienced, ultra-distance runners and all kinds of running professionals come together to chat, provide support and share tips on the sport they love.
Joe Williams, Director of UKRunChat, commented, “We are delighted to welcome some fantastic new partners to UKRunChat for 2019. Each of these partners offers something very different and we are looking forward to working with each of them for the benefit of the UKRunChat community.”
Sally Walker, Senior Programme Manager at Macmillan, added, “We are really excited to be coming on board as a Charity Partner for UKRunChat in 2019. We have already identified opportunities to raise awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support and the work we do across the UK, and we are very much looking forward to reaching new audiences through UKRunChat and welcoming runners to Team Macmillan.”
