The fact that Sport is now clearly identified in the Commission’s structure is a tangible result of our bilateral and multi-lateral efforts for putting Sport higher on the European Agenda, and especially on the body proposing the vast majority of regulatory initiatives in Europe. It may seem like a simple name change at a first glance, but this visible sign is a clear recognition of the European Commissions’ Competences ultimately leading to the implementation of relevant sport policies amongst the Members Sates at least for the next 5 years. It is an encouraging sign.
