As we cross over the halfway point for 2024, Reydon Sports are continuing to evolve as a B2B wholesaler in an array of areas across the retail sector with a number of fantastic updates from the company…
The start of the year saw Reydon attend a marathon of Trade & Sourcing shows including; x10 Day Ireland Sales Roadshow across 4 locations, London Toy Fair, Spring Fair and Nuremberg International Toy Show. On the shows Reydon showcased their exclusive distribution for many brands including NERF & Franklin Sports, Skechers, Team Merchandise BRXLZ and many more.
In Q1 Reydon also launched their distribution partnership with Skechers, stocking an array of models from various divisions for Spring Summer along with Autumn Winter. Sport, Running, Walking, Outdoor and Kids styles, existing stockists will continue to be serviced by Skechers directly whilst Reydon focus on supporting the brand long term in supplying stock to an established and growing pool of independent retailers across many sectors.
In addition to the above activity in Q1, we were also proud to hire & onboard a new Key Account Manager into the Sales Team, Claire Medhurst, coming from a previous background from conglomerates & brands across the industry.
So how has Trade been so far this year? Reydon have flourished across many sectors despite a slower start to year for many other brands & suppliers, based off the current economy. After the COVID & Brexit curveballs of 2021/22, shipping complications made all its efforts to disrupt Reydon’s service & offering to our large Irish customer base, however the company has continued to work closely with courier partners and brands to resolve major sticking points, allowing business to operate as usual. With a minimum order spend in place for Ireland, customers can buy seamlessly without any hassle and with full duties paid.
With ‘A’ brands such as Canterbury, Mitre, Speedo, NERF, Adidas, Waboba, Trespass and hundreds more ALL available at the click of a button, Reydon continue to supply the industry with a vast offering of product.
Reydon also continues to develop their own brands including Precision Training for this year and beyond. NEW FIFA Basic products launched, NEW Junior Football Boot range launched along with a sub-brand PrecisionPLAY launching in July.
Urban Fitness, the second biggest own brand for Reydon has also seen continued a bounceback in success after the lockdown events in previous years, securing deals into flagship retail partners across the globe. Despite the fitness market experiencing periods of saturation and overstocks, Reydon are continuing to support the retail industry with a full offering of basic & advanced equipment. Ice Baths, Saunas, Exercise Bikes and much more to come from the brand for this year.
Reydon in June is due to exhibit at the Outdoor Trade Show in Liverpool for the third time, looking to explore opportunities in that sector with their newly developed own brands Six Peaks Outdoor and much more.
For those existing customers who use the Reydon B2B website, a number of exciting updates continue to be rolled out. A ‘COMING SOON’ section now allows customers to look into the future 3 months ahead and plan their buying accordingly, viewing which ranges are coming soon into stock. The ‘NEW IN’ section then complements it, showcasing all of the latest ranges that have landed and are booked into stock available for customers to buy. Along with new sections and categories, speed & navigation across the site continues to be improved to give customers the best user experience possible.
The second half of 2024 for Reydon looks to be even more exciting as the team recruit further members in Sales, Buying & Marketing in order to handle the commercial growth.
